What Exactly is a "Monday Move?"

If you’ve been around Reidsville Christian, you’ve probably heard the phrase “Monday Move.” It’s about taking what we hear on Sunday and actually living it out during the week.

Why “Monday”?
Because Sunday isn’t the finish line - it’s the starting point. Real change happens when faith shows up in everyday life.

Why It Matters
As James 1:22 reminds us: “Do not merely listen to the word… Do what it says.”

One Prayer.
A simple, honest prayer that keeps your heart aligned with God.
“Lord, help me trust You today.”

One Step.
One intentional action - not ten. Just one.
Reach out. Forgive. Serve. Begin.

Try It This Week
One Prayer: “God, lead me.”
One Step: Follow through on the opportunity in front of you.

Home for Good (6/14/26)

"Following the Lamb in a Beastly World"

One Prayer.
“Jesus, help me live this week with my eyes fixed on the home You are preparing for me. When life feels heavy, remind me that this world is not the end of the story. When fear gets loud, remind me that You are still on the throne. When grief feels overwhelming, remind me that You will wipe every tear away. And while I wait, help me keep following the Lamb.”

One Step.
Identify one burden that you've been carrying.
This week, intentionally place that burden into Jesus’ hands.

The Return of the King (6/7/26)

"Following the Lamb in a Beastly World"

One Prayer.
“Jesus, help me live this week with confidence in Your victory. Help me to trust You more than my fears. Help me remember that You are Faithful and True. And help me keep following You until the day I see You face to face.”

One Step.
Identify one area where fear has been shaping your decisions.
This week, intentionally surrender that area to the returning King.

Breaking Up With Babylon (5/31/26)

"Following the Lamb in a Beastly World"

One Prayer.
“Jesus, reveal what I've been asking Babylon to give me that only You can provide.”

One Step.
Ask yourself this week:
“Where do I look first, and where do I look most for my identity, security, or significance?”

Then take one practical step toward putting Jesus back at the center of that area.

Enough is Enough (5/24/26)

"Following the Lamb in a Beastly World"

One Prayer.
“Jesus, would You say ‘enough’ to the places in me that are slowly pulling me away from You. Expose what is shaping my heart, soften what has grown hard, and help me follow the Lamb faithfully this week.”

One Step.
Be willing to ask yourself one honest question this week: “What needs to end in me so Jesus can do something new through me?” Identify one thing, then take one practical step toward surrender.

Choose Your Kingdom (5/17/26)

"Following the Lamb in a Beastly World"

One Prayer.
“Jesus, keep my heart loyal to You. Show me where other things are shaping me more than You are. Help me follow the Lamb faithfully in a beastly world.”

One Step.
Identify one voice, or influence, or habit, or fear that has been shaping you more than Jesus. Identify it and intentionally surrender it to Him this week.

When the Earth Shakes, Heaven Moves (5/10/26)

"Following the Lamb in a Beastly World"

One Prayer.
“Jesus, when the world shakes, teach me to pray like Heaven hears. Help me trust that You see, You hear, and You will act.”

One Step.
Take one burden that has been making your world shake - personal, relational, cultural, or spiritual - and turn it into a written prayer this week.

Write your own “How long, O Lord?” prayer.

Then end it with one sentence of trust:

“But You are on the throne, and my prayer rises before You.”

Look Up Before You Look Around (5/3/26)

"Following the Lamb in a Beastly World"

One Prayer.
“God, lift my eyes above what I can see. Help me trust that You are on the throne… and that Jesus is at the center of everything You are doing.”

One Step.
When you feel overwhelmed this week… pause.
Remind yourself:

There is a throne in Heaven, and it is not empty.
And the Lamb is still worthy...

  • of your trust...
  • of your surrender...
  • of your obedience.

Dear Church (4/26/26)

"Following the Lamb in a Beastly World"

One Prayer.
“Jesus, show me where I’ve drifted... and bring me back to You.”

One Step.
Wherever the Spirit has been pressing on you today… respond to that.

  • If you’ve lost your love… go back to time with Him, not out of duty, but desire.
  • If you’ve been inconsistent… take one step of obedience that you’ve been putting off.
  • If you’ve been aware but not urgent… act on what you already know.
  • If you’ve been drifting… re-anchor your life around Jesus this week.

Jesus in the Middle (4/19/26)

"Following the Lamb in a Beastly World"

One Prayer.
“Jesus, help me turn to You first this week."

One Step.
Pause and turn to Jesus in the moment of pressure.

Stop. Breathe. Say…
“Jesus, You are here… in the middle of this.”

5 Steps to Spiritual Failure (4/12/26)

Peter Dodge

One Prayer.
“Jesus, keep me from temptation, and grant me Your power to overcome."

One Step.
Prayerfully consider which of one of these 5 practices you may need to address in your own life.

Seeing Clearly (4/5/26)

"Following the Lamb in a Beastly World"

One Prayer.
“Jesus, help me see clearly.”

One Step.
Name what you’re afraid of… and place it under His authority.

  • Is it something in your family?
  • Something in your future?
  • Something in the world around you?

Name it. And then consciously say: *“Jesus, You hold the keys to this too.”

Be Joyful (3/29/26)

"The Be's Behind Our Beliefs"

One Prayer.
“Jesus, help me see what You are doing - even when I don’t understand what I’m going through. Anchor my joy in You, not in my circumstances.”

One Step.
Celebrate one thing every day this week - on purpose.
